The Western States Fire Protection Southern California group servicing Los Angeles and the surrounding southern area of California comprises two offices, one in Upland, California and the other in Lakewood, California. The WSFP Upland office primarily handles residential customers, while the Western States Fire Protection Lakewood office handles commercial clients. This fire protection group actually started in San Diego in 1988 to handle the fire protection needs and requirements of residential customers only. Wesley Sue is the current Area Manager. Wesley has been with WSFP Los Angeles for over 6 years, and has over 33 years of experience in fire protection systems.
There are 39 employees between the two offices, with 14 office and support staff and 25 field personnel. The field staff average fifteen years experience in the fire protection field, with almost 400 years combined fire protection expertise. Field staff includes fitters, service technicians, foremen, alarm and detection (A&D) technicians, and inspectors. The lead designer has met all NICET Level 4 test requirements. Seven of the superintendents and foremen are UA STAR certified. All Western States Fire Protection fire alarm service technicians are factory certified on the entire range of fire equipment that is installed.
