Western States Fire Protection's Austin Texas Branch opened in 1995 when WSFP was awarded the North Austin Medical Center. WSFP Austin began as a satellite operation of our Dallas office. Since 1995, WSFP Austin has developed into a 24/7 Full Service Fire Protection Company in the Central Texas Market.

Area Manager - Jerry D. Allen

Jerry has over 22 years experience in fire protection Management, Operations, Project Management, Sales, and Design. Jerry began his career with WSFP as a designer in December 1995 and is currently the Area Manager over the Austin, Dallas, and Waco offices. Jerry has the following certifications/licenses: NICET Level IV; Texas RME-G; UA-STAR; and OSHA-30. Jerry is actively involved in his community by serving on the Pastoral Leadership Team at his church and as the president of the Williamson County Emergency Services District #5.

Office Manager - Dena Lange

Dena joined Western States Fire Protection Co. in late December 2011. Prior to joining Western States Fire Protection Co., she has been an Office Manager for over 10 years growing her knowledge base. She has also owned and operated two small businesses. She is a dedicated and skilled professional with versatile administrative support skills that have been developed through her experience. She excels in undertaking challenges by using innovative solutions, systems, and process improvements to increase efficiency, customer satisfaction and the bottom line of the company. Dena is very excited to join the team at Western States Fire Protection as Office Manager and looks forward to a successful undertaking.

Service Manager - Philip Weaver

Philip has 38 years experience in the construction and service industry in the central Texas area. Philip came to Western States Fire Protection in June of 2006 and is currently Service manager for the Austin Branch. Philip has the following certifications/licenses: Master plumbing license 1983, OSHA-30. Philip has had the privilege to provide services for the Austin area for last 30 years and is currently assisting in the development of a satellite office in Waco, TX.

Inspections Manager - Sarah Sander

Sarah joined the team in June of 2010. Fire Protection is a new industry for her but she has extensive managerial and project management experience in a construction environment. Sarah currently manages the Inspections Department and has taken the lead on Marketing and Business Development for the Austin office. She serves on multiple committees for various Networking Associations throughout Austin. Sarah also runs the Training Classes at the office. Her next endeavor will be the coordination of an exciting Charity Event so that the Austin branch can give back to the community.

Alarm and Detection Manager - Kevin Allyn

Kevin has 11 years experience in Fire Alarm and Special Hazard Project Management, Design, Service, Installation and Sales. Kevin began his career in Western States as Salesman and Manager for the Austin and San Antonio Alarm and Detection Markets in June of 2009 and is currently the alarm manager for the Austin office. Kevin has the following certifications/licenses: NICET Level III Fire Alarm; Texas Alarm Planning Superintendent; Texas Extinguisher Planning License; Texas Responsible Managing Employee Sprinkler-Inspector; OSHA 30; and holds a Bachelors of Science from Texas A&M University in Agricultural Systems Management.

Residential Manager - Ryan Kiefer

Ryan graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering (FPE) in Dec. 2003. Since then Ryan has been a project manager, estimator, and currently is the Division Manager for the Residential Department. Ryan travels to OSU once a semester to recruit future OSU students from the FPE program, and is on the WSFP Austin office Executive Committee. Ryan is a NICET Level I and has passed his OSHA-30.

Regional Safety Manager - Daniel Gonzalez

Daniel has over 18 years in the construction industry. He began his career with WSFP in the summer of 2011. Prior to that he worked for some of the largest General Contractors in the country. Daniel's current duties include all of the safety and risk management interests for the state of Texas, with offices in Austin, Waco, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and El Paso. Daniel has many certifications including his OSHA 500 as an outreach instructor. Daniel stays busy with his wife and four children and their sports in his off time.
