Western States Fire Protection provided the design,
fabrication and installation of the wet and dry pipe
fire sprinkler systems in the Penterra Plaza formerly
known as Union Plaza located in the Denver Tech Center.
This $115 million project consists of a 23-story Penterra
condominium tower with a neighboring 7-Story Lockton
Center office building completed.
Penterra Plaza has 12,000 sprinkler heads and over
50miles of fire protection piping, along with a diesel
fire pump to supply the fire sprinkler system. Both
Penterra and Lockton Center buildings have been constructed
over a 3-story, 900 space underground parking garage
which includes 27,000 square feet of combined first
floor retail space. There is 400 square feet of parking
in the 3 level parking garage which contains 4,000
sprinklers protected by 12 dry sprinkler systems
and dry standpipes
Lockton Center has 1,500 sprinklers with 8 wet
systems and Penterra building residential tower
has 6,500 sprinklers with 24 wet systems.
