and 9 dry systems.

The

Cream Cooler - Pre-Action System
The
systems are protecting racks supplied by automatic
cranes and
conveyors and have Protectowire as
their linear detection.
Wal-Mart
M.D.C. #7015 distribution center
was the first
location where Viking Trim-Pac was used on the pre-action
valves. It was also the first location where racks
were erected with the sprinkler pipe
already attached. Assembling the
fire sprinkler system on the ground minimized
the risk of injury, significantly
cut construction time and reduced expenses.
The project was
completed in 14 months which was
the fastest Wal-Mart distribution center ever erected.
It was Wal-Mart's first of six mechanized
distribution centers to go into production
on scheduled.
There were approximately 20,528 fire sprinkler
heads installed
of which 8,012 were
in the
rack.
