Fire Suppression Systems Training
Western States Fire Protection Co. has the best staff in the industry because we invest in them.
The Western States Fire Protection Co. started a design center in September 2005. It consisted of two students, computers, folding tables and practical office chairs. Since that time, we've had more than 60 students intern and complete our fire protection design training and enter our workforce.
Its purpose is to create quality designers through fire sprinkler systems training.
We continue to refine the strong aspects of the program and eliminate the weak elements, to ensure a comprehensive training program.
A unique on-the-job-training experience is the heart of the design center program, providing real life design experience. It is critical to the smooth transition of students into successful designers after training.
Trainees begin the production of work around the end of the third month of training. This production is a vital way that the design center gives back to the branch offices. After being placed in a branch office, the trainees continue learning.
In addition to training our people, we also provide fire sprinkler system training to the public: City officials, Building engineers, Property managers, anyone that is interested in fire protection equipment, how it works, and what to look for. Most of our offices provide this training once a month in their "live" equipment training rooms with our fire protection consultants. Our curriculum is also certified and approved for CEUs needed to maintain many types of professional certifications. Please feel free to contact your local office of Western States Fire Protection to learn about their upcoming training opportunities.
